Moulin Rouge Earrings

Feathers, dancing, red silk and romance - and all the opulence and drama of the Moulin Rouge...... These elegant 'Feather' earrings have been entirely crafted by hand using sterling silver and fine gemstones.

The framework for the earrings were hand forged. The silver was shaped to create the delicate outline of feathers, before being wrapped with ultra fine sterling silver wire. A flourish of coiled wire was added to the frames to represent the curling of the feathers. I then added briolettes of rich, red Rubies and vibrant Grape Amethyst - such passionate and vibrant colours. The earrings have been fitted with elegant lever back fittings completing the graceful flourishes. To finish I oxidized the silver, before polishing to give a deep grey patina to the silver, which adds depth and drama to the earrings. The gemstones are further accentuated by the dark silver, the gems looking bright and vibrant.

Utterly gorgeous - full of spirit and undoubtedly flirtatious - a taste of the Moulin Rouge.
